We’re kicking off 2009 with an evening-filling programme for Tent on thursday the 8th of january, packed with dope shit! so check it out!
With Ecoño we honour and laugh at the three main characters in contemporary environmental debates. The activist who went from hardlining to a nice and comfortable popstar status. The calvinist, who’s been having cold showers for ages, just to save the planet. And the hipster who discovered great market value in the eco label and invented consuming for the cause.
We got:
Some booming eco-friendly new artwork by Baschz, a lecture by the infamous Al Gore a.k.a Straatneger, the Dutch premiere of Made In Queens; a documentary film celebrating the individuals behind a completely new form of artistic expression: BMX-soundsystems! DJ Møbel on the wheels of steel, another premiere of fixed gear movie MASH, and Rotterdam Fixed Gear in the house and working their dories, and whenever did we let you leave a Mañana party without some free shit?.. riiight! Plus we’re working on some more shits as we type, so please stay tuned.
Oh yes oh yes and on top of this Mañana overdose you will be able to enjoy the running Tent exhibition Ecoscape as well. Whut.
